So i thought i'd make him a get well card; i know he likes owls so i thought this owl card would be the perfect thing to cheer him up. I made this card from a template from CraftyTemplates using Dovecraft Masculine Designer Papers.

I love these papers, as they are wonderful masculine colours without being dull and drab; and not all sports related. I think this card fits in great with 'Created Byhand Challenge's weekly challenge, which this week was to use patterned or fancy papers.

'The Sun has got his Hat on...' ATCs

Here's a fun set of ATCs i made for a Celestial Swap. As i thought about all things celestial a song popped into my head,'The Sun has got his hat on...' so i used that as my theme for this fun set of cards.

I used DCWV paper for the background, the suns are drawn with prismacolour markers and faber castell pens, then cut out and decoupaged onto the ATCs.

I think these ATCs fit perfectly with this weeks theme on 'Theme Thursday' challenge blog. This weeks theme..'Hat's.

Muttley Spring Card

Muttley Spring Card

I had to make a Father's Day Card for Dad, as i do every year, and i wanted to make something a little different this year. I knew i wanted to use Muttley on it, as my Dad loves him, so that was my starting point. Muttley is drawn with Faber Castell Pitt Pens, and coloured with Carah d'arche Watersoluable Pastels and Sakura Glaze Pens. I used a doodling template to create the heart shape, and then created a spring card out of black card. I love this card, the spring effect mimic's the way Muttley sniggers perfectly, so i am really pleased with how this turned out. Dad loved it too.

I had real fun with these, basically just doodled away, i decided to use them for a group project on, the colour book project, my colour was red, so i used red as my starting point for these inchies and just let my imagination run riot. I will definately be making more inchies, love the size, and can't wait to make somemore.

Spring 2008 Favourite Artist PAT ATCs

Here's some more Favourite Artist ATCs, this time for the Spring 2008 swap on I think this was the most challenging set i've done so far, the style of a couple of these artist's are so different to mine i had a little trouble getting results i was happy with. However, i think i'm happy with these cards, each card has something i like about them, so that's always a bonus. I'm really looking forward to my returns, i chose 2 favourite artists, Salvador Dali and Dante Gabriel Rossetti, so i can't wait to see what the other wonderful artists at the site have created for me.

'Hint of Pink' Sketch Card

They have some great challenges, and one of them is a monthly sketch challenge- make something based on the sketch. It was my turn to design the sketch this month, which was challenging and fun, so i had to make a card from the sketch too.

I also love visiting challenge blogs and one of my favourites it Arty Girlz, there theme this week is a 'Hint of Pink', so i thought i would combine both challenges.

So here is the card i made, i used some lovely Dovecraft papers which have a 'Hint of Pink' - my favourite colour, as well as lots of black and white. It's my hubby Stewart's birthday next month, so i wanted to create a special card for him, so i used the portrait i did of him, digital changed it to black and white, and printed it out on standard printer paper. I then mounted it on the circle i had cut out and added a stitching detail to finish the element, i did the same with the smaller circle and added a die cut heart.

I'm really pleased with how this card turned out, using my favourite colour pink, without being too girly, i just hope Stewart will like it.
