New Releases and a Waving Challenge at Jellypark Challenges

I can't believe my guest spot at Jellypark Challenge is over, I've had so much fun working with Claire's images, they are just so cute and remind me of my childhood!

My card today feature's one of the adorable new images, along with a couple of my favourites from the Jellypark Store.  I created this scene in photoshop, combining a MIC background with the super cute Jellypark images, to which i added an appropriate sentiment.  I printed the scene and coloured it with a mixture of Letraset Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

I wanted to keep my card fairly plain embellishment wise, as i didn't want to detract from the main scene, so i added some fairly neutral patterned papers in the background, before adding some 'airmail' inspired washi tape.  I then added my scene and some red dotty washi tape to finish framing my image.  I love how it turned out, reminds me of all those wonderful kiddies programmes i watched when i was young.

This weeks challenge at Jellypark Challenges is all about 'Waving', anything that waves, hands, flags, bunting, the sea.  I think i covered the theme nicely with the waves of the sea, and the cute bunting on the hut.

Thank your for visiting with me today

Our Love is Doomed!!

This months Poisoned Peas Please Challenge theme is Goth/Emo and we are very lucky to be sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, who have some wonderful images, including this adorable little character called Wings.

I coloured Wings with a mixture of Letraset Promarkers and Flexmarkers.  I decided against using a lot of black on my image as I wanted something a little more colourful, so i went with the blue to represent the inner sadness and general malaise of the character, and the red to represent the love that we all want, even if we feel it's doomed.

I kept my background very simple, using some red and blue papers which i embossed to add some texture. I went with a black card base, and matting, as it adds to the overall feeling of the card, and really makes the colours pop.

I created my sentiment with my label maker, and added it to a die cut banner which i then added a wonderful large red heart brad.  The only other embellishment on my card is a little washi tape, i love the translucency of it and finds it add that little extra something to card without being too distracting from the main image.

You have 12 days still to join in the Challenge and be in win the chance of winning 7 digis of your choice from Bugaboo Stamps.

Thanks for visiting with me,

Love is Forever at The Greeting Farm

Good Morning, It's my pleasure today to share with you a piece i've created for my Guest DT spot at The Greeting Farm this month.

As soon as I saw Prince Ian and Princess Anya, I knew i wanted to create a ballroom inspired scene.  That's what today's project is all about a magical prince and princess at a wonderful ball.
I Stamped Ian and Anya onto watercolour paper, then masked them so i could stamp my checker board floor.  I then used a combination of pearl paints, watercolour pencils and distress ink to colour my scene.
I added some flourishes and a little shading with some black distress ink to finish the scene.

I decided to turn it into a little wall hanging, so i cut two identical squares of black card stock to matt my image onto.  I sandwiched a piece of black ribbon in the form of a loop between the black card stock to create my hanger.
I then added my image, aslong with a diecut border, some ribbon, a pretty paper rose and some butterflies, before finishing it all off with some sentiment tickets.

I love how the finished project turned out, as the pearl paints give it a wonderful magical shimmer, which i hope you can see in the picture.

I'm delighted to see my project featured over at the Splendid Stamping with The Greeting Farm Blog, I get a buzz everytime i see one of my creations shared, it really is an honour. Make sure you hop over to the TGF blog today as they have a beautiful super shiny preview to share with you.

Happy Monday to you all

Simply Challenged Challenges June 21st: Anything Goes

It's time for us to launch another challenge over at the Simply Challenged Challenges Blog, and this weeks is a doddle; Anything Goes, all you have to do is use an image from Simply B Stamps.

Here's mine
I've used CC and Ash from the newly released Teen Scene Glam Rockers Collection. My papers are from a Prima Paper Pad called Rock on Love, which I've been saving for ages, and went perfectly with these images.  My sentiment is stamped in Distress Ink, and is from the Masculine Tee Graphic Stamp & Die set by MFT.  I kept the embellishments very simple on this card, as i used 5 different patterned papers.  So I added a few strips of pink washi tape, along with some clear gems.

I hope you'll find time to join in our challenge, you've got until the 20th July to link your project to the challenge post over at Simply Challenged Challenges.

Thank you for visiting with me today

My Dad Rocks...

Yes he does, just like this rocking new line of images at simplystamps.net, It's the Teen Scene Glam Rockers, and i thought these two handsome dudes would be perfect for my Dad's Father's Day Card.
I love how this card turned out, I used papers from the DCWV Rockstar Mat Stack, along with a Whimsy Ticket Sentiment stamp, and Die-namics letter dies. I coloured  my images with a mix of Letraset Promarkers and Flexmarkers.  I used a Martha Stewart Heart border punch to create my central band which i layers onto a scrap of gold irridicant paper, i used the same paper to ground my images, and for my sentiments.  To finish it all off i added a few gemstone, cos even a male card needs some bling lol!!

I'm entering this card into the following fun challenges:
Dream Valley Challenges - For that Special Guy
My Sheri Crafts - Challenge #87 Father's Day
Bloggers Challenge - Masculine Card Challenge
Cardmadfairy's Digi Day - Father's Day/Masculine Challenge

Delicious Doodles Challenges - For the Fellas
Simply Create Too - Happy Father's Day
Charisma Cardz Challenges - Male Cards
Do You Stack Up Challenge Blog - Boys/Men
S J Crafts: Monthly Challenge - All about the Boy + something old from your stash - I used some old DCWV Rockstar Papers.

Let's go Fly a Kite with Jellypark Challenges

Today i'd like to share with you my Guest DT Creation for Jellypark Challenges's new challenge, this week it's all about Kites, diecut kites, digi kites, paper and string, anything that says kites to you.

I couldn't resist using the adorable Let's fly Away image by Jellypark, I coloured this cute little chap in with my letraset promarkers before fussy cutting him out.  I teamed him ups with some papers and stickers from Echo Parks Sweet Summertime Collection, creating his kite out of one of the patterned papers.  I added string to the kite for him to hold, and some bakers twine with some pretty boys as the kite's tail.  It's a very simple little scene i created, but i think it looks very cute.

I hope you'll be inspired to join us at Jellypark Challenges, we'd love to see your Kite inspired creations.

Simply Challenged Challenges June 14: Scene It!

Today we have another new challenge for the  Simply Challenged Challenges Blog, just like last weeks; it's open for one month, so plenty of time to join in the fun.

Scene It! - We are challenging you to recreate a scene from a movie of your choice, it' can be a scene from the movie, or even the DVD Cover Picture, as long as it's got something to do with a Movie and you use a SimplyBStamps image, then it open to your interpretation.

This week we have all been working with images from the Toxic Teen Collection, a fun and funky collection of images perfect for Kids/Teens/Tweens Cards.

My card features Charlotte and Stewie from the Toxic Teens Collection. I combined them with a background from Make It Crafty to recreate my scene from Gnomeo and Juliet.  I coloured my scene with a mixture of Letraset Promarkers and Flexmarkers.  I then layered my image onto some glossy black card.  I decided to keep my embellishments very minimal, not wanting to distract from the main image.  I decided to added some punchinella, which i cut a cross  in the middle and then folded back the four sections to create this framed effect.  I used some staples to attach the punchinella to my card.

Don't forget to grab yourself some bargain digis at simplybstamps.net the 12 Digis for $25 code is valid until midnight PST 14 June, so still a little time for you to treat yourself.

Thanks for visiting with me,

Embrace your Inner Betty with Simply Challenged Challenges..

It's time for our first challenge over at the Simply Challenged Challenges Blog, each month we'll have 4 month long challenges running, so you've got plenty to join in, and plenty of time to do so.

On the 7th of Every Month there will be a challenge hosted by one of the SCC DT, todays is Hosted by Betty - Embrace your Inner Betty:  Your challenge is to create a project using any of the 'Betty' images from SimplyBStamps.net to show us your Inner Betty, we want to see what Betty's images mean to you, so you might want to make a fun and quirky card, or something spooky and beautiful, it's up to you!!

For my card i've used the stunningly beautiful UK Betty, I have to say i'd love to have a dress like hers. So we've just had a wonderful holiday weekend celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, so all the Union Flags on my card seemed very appropriate.  Embracing the Inner Betty to me means creating something fun and quirky, with bold bright colours and a bit of a twist. So I decided to give UK Betty two tone hair, which i think looks pretty funky!  On the rest of the card i used a couple of my favourite things, punchinella, washi tape, bakers twine and buttons.  I couldn't resist adding the little flag, it really adds to the celebration feel.

Hopefully you'll be inspired to join us in our challenge, check out the rest of the SCC DT's beautiful creations to get some more inspiration.  You've got until the 6th July to add you project to the linky tool on the SCC Blog, so loads of time to join in.  We'll also have a new challenge for you next week!!

For Your Eyes Only!!!

Today i get to share with you something i've been keeping secret for a little while!  I've been lucky enough to be picked as Guest Designer at The Greeting Farm for the June!!!  I'm so excited!

I've been a massive fan of TGF since 2009, back then i was truly honoured to be a Guest Designer on Club Anya, my very first design team spot.  It opened a whole new world to me, and i've been lucky enough to be on a few design teams since, but without Jessica and Marie at TGF I don't think I would have had the confidence to apply for half the design teams i have done.

This is going to be such a fun month, I hope you'll be able to join me in some of the fun challenges The Greeting Farm will be hosting, just check out Splendid Stamping with the Greeting Farm and The Greeting Farm Forum at Splitcoaststampers.
