Merry Christmas Everyone with Sweet Pea Stamps

Merry Christmas Everyone, I hope you are having a truly wonderful day with your loved ones.

 It's my pleasure to share with you a creation featuring an image available at Sweet Pea Stamps.
Today It only seems right for me to share with you a Christmas creation.  My card features the beautiful 'Mistletoe Kisses' image by our featured artist Teresa Sherman;
Teresa has a wonderful talent for drawing beautiful women, and this image is a wonderful example of her talent. I had so much fun colouring her with my Letraset Tria and Promarkers, with the addition of a little white gel pen for highlights.
Here's a close up of this beautiful creature;
I used a patterned paper from DCWV's Text Print Stack, along with some Dark Red Mirri Card.  To embellish my card I added some gorgeous red organza and velvet polka dot ribbon, some red and white pearl hat pins, along with a sentiment sticker from Simple Stories.

You can find Teresa's images in both Rubber and Digital Format in the Sweet Pea Stamps Store. You will find a stunning variety of images for every occasion, so make sure you have a good browse.

That is all from me for today, Once again, I wish you all a truly wonderful day,
Peace and Love

A Sweet Pea Stamps Art Nouveau Rocker Card Calender

Good Morning All, Today I'd like to share with you a quick gift idea featuring the gorgeous Art Nouveau 2 image by Karen Middleton available at Sweet Pea Stamps.

I discovered this gorgeous image whilst browsing the Sweet Pea Stamps Website recently, I'm amazed at the images i've found whilst browsing since the site changeover; Having a larger picture of them really does make them stand out more, and instant downloads make it so easy to get your image and get creating with it.  I highly recommend taking some time to have a browse, and today is an excellent day to do it as we have a 50% discount code available only till the end of today.

So back to my project, here is a picture of it in all it's glory.
I call this a Rocker Card Calender, although the name of the template I used calls it a 'Circle Stepper Template' and it is by Get in Shape Templates.  I came across the template whilst tidying my crafty stash and thought it was about time I had a play with it.  It's got very simple instructions with it, so was a lot easier to make than I anticipated.

All the patterned card used in this project came from a die cut and card stack by Creata.  I used one sheet of card for the stepper card base.  To this I added some layered patterned card to go behind my image.  I coloured my image with Letraset Tria and Promarkers and then fussy cut it out before using some Tonic Funky Glue to add it to my background layers.

I added a die cut tag and butterfly from the card stack to the back step of the card, before adding a calender tab to the front of the card.  I layered the calender tab onto a leftover piece of card.

I love how this calender turned out, the base stands perfectly well on its own, the only thing you have to remember when adding your image and any embellishments is to make sure that you spread the weight of them evenly across the template, otherwise it will stand rather lopsided.

I hope you like my calender idea, for more gift ideas don't forget to check out the Gift Ideas page on the Sweet Pea Stamps Website. Remember to visit the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog for lots more inspiring creations from the uber-talented design team.

That's all from me for today, Hope you find time to have fun and do a little crafting at this hectic time of year.

Have a great day all

It's a Fairy Tea Party at Sweet Pea Stamps

Good Morning All, Today it's my pleasure to share with you another creation featuring a gorgeous image available at Sweet Pea Stamps.

Today's project is a gift box I've made as part of my Dad's Christmas Present,
I've used the beautiful 'Fairy Tea Party' image by Helena Reis available over at Sweet Pea Stamps, along with lots of other beautiful images by Helena  in both Rubber and Digital Format.  As you might have guessed the box is full of a selection of different Teas.

Here's a close up of the image;
 The image is coloured with a mix of Letraset Tria and Promarkers.  Here's a side view of the box;
The Box is made using 2 sheets of 12 x 12 paper, which i cut down to 11 x 11, I then used my box maker from Crafter's Companion to score my lines, using the 3rd groove for both the base and lid.  The finished box measures 7 x 7 x 2, so it's a good size for any small present.  I used a circle punch to punch semi circles into the box top to make it easier to open the box.  I decorated the box lid with a nice large paper doily onto which i added my coloured image.  I used a MFT Frame builder die to cut my frame out of the same card stock.

As it's a gift for my Dad, I decided against adding lots of flowers, the fact it's Pink is more than enough for him to cope with, flowers would push the joke a little too far.  So I went with a nice large button, some bakers twine, and I made a Tea Bag style tag to add my sentiment.

That's all from me for today, don't forget to hop over to the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog to check out the gorgeous creations the rest of the Design Team have been making to inspire you.  Time for me to go work on some Christmas Cards, it's Christmas Day 3 weeks today!!
