I ♥ PROMARKERS Challenge #275 - Things with Wings

It's Wednesday again, so time for another fun challenge over at the I ♥ PROMARKERS Challenge Blog.

Our theme this week is 'Things with Wings'

We are very lucky to be sponsored by the wonderful

Here's my card using Knome and Ladybug
Isn't Mr Knome a cutie, he looks like he's listening to every word the ladybug is saying, I wonder what she's telling him?  Maybe she's telling him about her latest adventure flying around the world!

I've teamed Mr Knome up with some Basic Grey papers (not sure what collection, as they were in my oddments pile) I thought they created a lovely backdrop for my image.  I kept my embellishments very simple, as with such bold patterns I didn't want to over do things.  I used some Red spotty Washi Tape along with a couple of cute wooden pegs with Ladybugs on them.  My sentiment is from a Crafter's companion stamp set.

That's all from me for now, but please don't forget to visit the  I ♥ PROMARKERS Challenge Blog to see the gorgeous creations from the rest of our very talented Design Team.

Have a great day

That Craft Place Ltd Challenge - Lots of Layers

It's time for a new challenge over at the That Craft Place Ltd Challenge Blog.
Our theme for this challenge is;

Here is my card;
I couldn't resist using one of the new Bubbles images from That Craft Place Ltd Etsy Store; My card features 'It's not fair - Grumpy Bubbles' Doesn't she make you smile, reminds me of myself so much when i was younger and a champion sulker lol!

I printed her out 4 times coloured her and fussy cut her to create a decoupaged centrepiece for my card, she is layered with foam pads to give the dimension.

For my background I took an 8 x 8" card blank and added a piece of gold spotted vellum along with some gold washi tape and gold bias binding.  I then took a smaller square of white card to which i added the same vellum and washi tape, layered it onto some gold card stock and added that to my card base.  With some leftovers i created the small panel for my image to sit on.  I added this panel to my card base, then added the image with foam pads to give an extra dimension.

My sentiment is from one of the new Bunting MDF sets - this is from set B, I added some Gold Gelato, Dark Green Alcohol marker and Gold bias binding before gluing it to my card.

To embellish my card I added a selection of flowers, leaves, buttons, and gems, all of which you can get from That Craft Place Ltd.

That's all from me for today, don't forget to visit the That Craft Place Ltd Challenge Blog to see the amazing creations from the rest of our truly awesome Design Team.
Have a wonderful day all

Seeing Red with Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #163

Time for some wicked fun with Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge.
Our challenge theme this week is 'Seeing Red' - so we want to see lots of Red on your ATCs, nice and easy.
We are sponsored by the awesome SLSLines
Here's my ATC,
I used the truly awesome Voodoo King Skull Day of the Dead image by SLSLines.  I had great fun with this image, I was hoping to make him look scary and creepy; which i think i managed.  He's coloured with Letraset Promarkers with the addition of some white and gold metallic gel pen.  I love his glowing eyes, which were a last minute addition, whilst using the gold metallic pen for the chain around his hat, I thought it would look cool for him to have gold eyes.

Want to see more gorgeous Red ATCs, visit the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog to see the amazing ATCs on show combining the talents of our awesome Design Team and the wicked images from SLSLines.

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #161 - Food and/or Drink

Welcome to this weeks Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge post.  It's the beginning of June so time for a Picnic maybe or just some yummy food and drink al fresco; that's what out challenge is all about this week.
The Challenge theme is Food and/or Drink
We are sponsored by the Wax Fruit Company.

Here's my ATC;
I used the Cola Bottle digital image by The Wax Fruit Company for my ATC.
For my background I used three different Washi Tapes.  I then printed the Cola Bottle image 5 times, before cutting it out and adhering to the Washi Tape Background.  I then used Letraset Promarkers, some white gel pen and a Pigma Micron Pen to colour and added details to my bottles.  I coloured them after I'd added them to the ATC so that I could get the background colours coming through the glass of the bottle as accurately as possible.  I then added some Alphabet Stickers by Simple Stories to create my sentiment.  To tie the whole ATC together I added shadows and highlights to the bottles and letters along with a rough frame.

I had great fun working with this image, it's been a while since i tried to colour anything to look like glass, and I'm really pleased with the finished effect.  It's not perfect, and could have been a little neater, but i think it works. I had fun and that's the important thing.

Want to join in our challenge, then hop over to the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog to get full details on how to play along, and whilst your there you can check out the awesome creations by the rest of the Design Team, they've created some mouth watering masterpieces for your inspiration this week.

I ♥ PROMARKERS Challenge #272 - Paper Piecing with Kenny K

Welcome to my I ♥ PROMARKERS Challenge DT post, we've another fun challenge for you today, along with an awesome sponsor.

Our Challenge Theme is 'Paper Piecing'
we are sponsored by

Here's my creation;
I used the gorgeous Mermaid image by Kenny K for my project.

My project started off with an 8 x 8 canvas, to which I added some Faber-Castell Gelatos, I then seal it with a layer of Matt Gel Medium, as I'd applied the Gelatos quite heavily and didn't want the colour to smudge.  Once that was dry I added a thin layer of Gesso, I used a baby wipe to spread the Gesso around until i was happy with the coverage and effect.

The next stage was to print out my digital papers and images. My paper are from a set called Summer Tropical by Frou Frou Crafts.  My background elements came from a digital stamp set called Make a Scene - Under the Sea (Retired) by AmberInk.  I printed the patterned papers and then put the papers back through the printer to print the digital stamps.

I then coloured the mermaid, and added the paper pieced elements to her, before adding some final shading with a neutral grey Promarker to tie the whole image together.  After adding some shading to the background elements I cut them them and then layered them onto the canvas using Matt Gel Medium to adhere them and seal them, I then added the Mermaid.

To finish the canvas I added some raindrop/bubble gems to the background to add an extra texture and give the impression of bubbles and movement in the water.

I hope you like my project, and feel inspired to join in our challenge. Remember to hop over to the
 I ♥ PROMARKERS Challenge Blog to see the wonderful creations from the rest of the Design Team, and to find out how to join in the challenge.
