Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #194 - You Animal!

It's Wednesday again, so time for more wicked fun over at the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog.

This week we are sponsored by the truly awesome Vera Lane Studio

Our theme this week is 'You Animal'  we want to see some sort of animal on your ATC, it's as simple as that!

Here's my ATC
  I used one of the cats and the sentiment from the Crazy Cat Lady set of image by Vera Lane Studio.

To create my ATC I opened the images in Photoshop, and after a lot of copying/flipping and pasting I created this repeat pattern.  I then printed my design out A5 and trimmed a piece to ATC size.

I coloured my ATC with Letraset Tria, Flex and ProMarkers with the addition of some Spectrum Noir Glitter Pens.

I love how this turned out, my pattern reminds me of M.C.Escher's work, especially as from a distance these Cat could look like swimming Fish.  Obviously my pattern is no where near as complicated as his, and I cheated using the computer, I am nowhere near as clever as he was with his repeat patterns and morphing images.

That's all from me for today, Don't forget to hop over to the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog to see the awesome ATCs from the rest of our amazing design team.

I could not resist using one of my favourite colour schemes for this card.  Black and Shocking Pink always looks so feminine and striking.

I coloured Marilyn with Letraset ProMarkers, Uni Posca White Pen and Pink Garnet Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Pen.

My background papers are from Papermania's Classical Handmade Papers Pack, they are made from 100% cotton and have a wonderful feel to them, the Bright Pink on then is flocked giving them such a luxurious feel.

My sentiment was a freebie from TLC Creations, and was perfect for this image and card.

To embellish my card I added some Satin Ribbon, Black and Pink Pearls and Pearl Pins, Handmade Clay Roses (via Ebay) along with two die cut Star Flourishes using a Sue Wilson Die.

I love how glamorous this card turned out, I hope you love it too.

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #193 - Hearts

It's Wednesday so time for our Weekly Wicked Wednesday Fun with the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog.

This week we are very generously sponsored by the awesome Miss Rach
You will find some of the cutest animal digital stamps you've ever seen in the Miss Rach store, you are guaranteed to fall in love with her cute characters.

Our Challenge theme this week is 'Hearts'
Here's my ATC;
I used the adorable 'Heart Shaped Glasses' image for my ATC, such a cute puppy.

I had real fun with this ATC, I drew some overlapping hearts behind the cute puppy and coloured them in shades of Pink, before colouring the background in a dark Pinky/Red.  I then outlined my hearts with Faber-Castell PITT Pen and smudged the ink to soften the edges.  I then added some washi tape to my image background.

I took a Red ATC blank and added some scraps of black paper and Washi tape before adding my image.  After colouring the cute puppy I added some Spectrum Noir Pink Garnet Glitter Pen to the glasses before adding some googly eyes.

To embellish my ATC I added some felt hearts, glass brads, googly eyes and Tim Holtz Label Letter Stickers for my sentiment.

That's all from me for now, don't forget to check out the gorgeous creation from the rest of our awesome design team over at the Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge Blog.

The image this week is: Copper Cristi

 Here's my card featuring Copper Cristi.  I decided to keep it very clean and simple, with a monochromatic theme.  Copper Cristi is coloured with Letraset Tria and Promarkers, Uni Posaca White Pen and Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen.

My sentiment is from Create with TLC, Paulette offers lots of wonderful free sentiments, and had some brilliant Word Art in her store.

The rest of the card was really simple, Black and White Card stock and some Washi Tape.

I wanted my image to be the main focus of the card, so kept the rest nice and simple, here's a close up of Copper Cristi.

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #192 - Let it Sparkle

It's Wednesday so time for us to share some more miniature artworks, in the form of ATCs.  The Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge runs for two weeks this time, and we are very lucky to be sponsored by the wonderful All Dressed Up

Our theme this week is 'Make it Sparkle'
Here's my ATC
I used the beautiful 'Amore' by All Dressed Up on my ATC.

I had fun creating my background for this ATC, using a piece of White Card stock and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens, I blended three colours together to create my background.  Once dry I added some Washi Tape, Stickers from Simple Stories and my Image.

My image is coloured with Letraset Promarkers, and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.  Here's a wee close up to show just how sparkly the background is;

To finish my ATC I added some outline details with a Pigma Micron Pen.

I had great fun creating this ATC, the weather here in Scotland is awfully wet and dreich at the moment, so it was fun to create something that just shouts out sunshine and fun.

That you for visiting with me today, I hope i've brightened your day. Make sure you hop over to the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog to see the beautifully sparkly creations from our amazing design team.

More Mixed Media Challenge #1 - Blue

Welcome to my first post as a member of the Design Team for the new challenge blog;

We will have a new challenge for you every month, the themes are nice and simple, so you can be as creative as you like. We would love to see your traditional paper/card layouts, mixed media work, project life spreads, digital layouts, scrap-booking, pocket letters and up-cycled projects.

Our theme is month is 'Blue'

Here's my project;
 I decided to create a Mixed Media Canvas with Calender for our challenge.  I used the gorgeous 'Stroke of Midnight' image from Sassy Studio Designs, which is the image for this month Progressive Challenge in the Sassy Studio Designs Facebook Group.

I took a 4 x 4 inch Pre-gesso'd Canvas and added a layer of pale and dark blue Faber Castell Gelatos, blended with a baby wipe, then left to dry.

I then fussy cut my image and adhered it to my Canvas with some White Gesso.  Once dry I added some more Gelatos to my background.

I then used Faber-Castell PITT pens to colour my image and add more depth to the background. Once I was happy with my image I coated it with a layer of Collage pauge to add a glossy seal, I also used the collage pauge to adhere my bling.
 Once this was dry, I went over the details of the clock face with a fine Faber-Castell PITT pen and added a few more details to my image.

Using a Metallic Gold Sakura Pen I added details to my background, before adding my Calender tab.

I used some Washi Tape to add a little colour to the Calender tab, and to decorate the edge of my canvas.
I had great fun working on this canvas and playing around with my Gelatos and PITT pens, something which I hope to do more of this year.

I hope you like my project and your inspired to have a play along with our challenge, we'd love to see your creations.

That's all from me for today, Don't forget to hop over to the More Mixed Media Challenge Blog to see the gorgeous creations from our very talented Design Team.

2015 - A Creative Journey

Happy New Year All,

First of all I'd like to wish you all a wonderful 2016.  As the New Year starts it's nice to look back on the past year and see how far we've come creatively.

So today I'd like to share with you some of my favourite projects of 2015.

As you can see I had trouble choosing my favourites of 2015, I had such a fun and creative year that's I found it almost impossible to limit myself to 1 favourite for each month of the year, so I went with my favourite 25 projects.

They include a mix of Cards, ATCs, a Calender, and a Mixed Media Canvas.

I hope you like my selection of projects, and I hope you'll join me again this year on my Creative Journey.  No New Year Resolutions from me, just the plan to continue being Creative, and Enjoy myself and my Creative Journey discovering my own Artist Style.

Thank you for visiting with me today,
Bye for now
