Oddball Art Stamps Challenge Reminder

Today I'd like to share with you another card I've made for the current challenge over on the Oddball Art Stamps Blog , Our theme is 'Little Child' - make a card for a child.

Here's my creation;

Today's card is an encouragement card for a child, perfect for when they need that extra support before an exam or competition of some sort, or even just to remind them how wonderful they are.

For my card I used the gorgeous 'Starla Jones' (Image#151B), I coloured her with Letraset Tria and Promarkers before running her through my Xyron machine and then fussy cutting her.

For my background I used a selection of patterned papers from DCWV's Everyday Essentials Paperstack, along with stickers from Simple Stories and a mix of Flatback Pearl Star Embellishment and Pearls.

Left of Center Creative Challenge #140

It's time for a new challenge over at the Left of Center Creative Challenge blog, so time to embrace our dark side and create something wickedly creep and offbeat.

Our sponsor this week is the awesome Shadow Clocksy Digital Stamps

Our theme this week is Left of Center.

Here's my project for this week's challenge;

I used the awesome 'The Doll' image from Shadow Clocksy Digital Stamps for my project.   I had great fun colouring this image as a Creepy Clown with Letraset Tria & Promarkers, Faber-Castell PITT Pens and white gel pen for highlights.

For my card I used an 8 x 8 inch card blank, onto which I layered some red and black card.  I then added squares of patterned paper (Echo Parks - Be Mine Collection).  I fussy cut my image before running it through my Xyron machine to add adhesive.  I then outlined my image with Red and Black Faber-Castell PITT Pen, smudging the ink as I went along.

I love how dramatic this card turned out, I do love a Creepy Clown.

I hope i've inspired you to play along with our challenge.  Don't forget to visit the Left of Center Creative Challenge Blog to get even more inspiration from our awesome Design Team.

Oddball Art Stamps - New Releases In Store Now!

As promised I'm back with another Oddball Art Stamps creation.  This project features one of the gorgeous New Release Images that you can purchase in store now.

My card features the beautiful 'Fiona (#317)' isn't she dreamy!  She's coloured with Letraset Tria and Promarkers with a little White Gel Pen for highlights.

My background paper is a digital paper from the 'Mixed Media Paper Pack' by PaperLozzy.  Lozzy has some wonderful digital papers in her store, so make sure you check them out.

For my card I took an 8 x 8 inch white card blank and layered on some bright yellow paper, before adding my patterned paper.  I added Tim Holtz Tissue tape to the edges of the yellow papers and my image, before layering them all on my card.

My sentiment is created with bright yellow paper, Simple Stories Alphabet Letter Stickers in Pink, and Tim Holtz Tissue Tape.

To embellish my card I added Pink Wooden Heart Buttons, along with Yellow Wooden buttons to which i'd glue black flatback gems.  As an extra touch I added some Collage Pauge Glossy Instant Decoupage Glue/Sealer/Finish to the Eyes on my image.

Here's a close up;

I had so much fun colouring this image, and love how bright and cheerful my card turned out.  Don't forget to hop over to the Oddball Art Stamps Blog to see more gorgeous creations featuring today's New Release images.

Oddball Art Stamps Challenge - Little Child

Today it is my pleasure to share with you my first creation as part of the Oddball Art Stamps Design Team.  I adore Lizzy Love's Art so jumped at the chance to work with her wonderful digital stamps.

We have a new challenge on the Oddball Art Stamps Blog today, Our theme is 'Little Child' - make a card for a child.

Here's my creation;

For my card I used 'Lara the Lurker & Teddy Image(#46D)' from Oddball Art Stamps.  I coloured my image with Letraset Tria & Promarker. I then stamped the Get well Soon sentiment before trimming and distressing the edges of my image.

One of my favourite things about the image is howTeddy looks, and I wanted to echo that effect some how in my background.  I decided to add some purple felt and stuffing to a piece of card, then cut a slit in the felt for the stuffing to poke out.

I added my felt covered card to a white card blank, after I'd distressed the edges of the card.  I then pinned my image to the felt using a couple of safety pins

I love how this card turned out, and I'm sure anyone would love to receive it as a Get Well Soon card, Obviously it's not suitable for a tiny child, but i'm sure a child would love it. I just hope that Teddy gets better soon, cos he looks a little sick.

Want to see more cards inspired by our 'Little Child' theme, then hop over to the Oddball Art Stamps Blog and check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of our design team.  You'll all find instructions on how to join in our challenge and win some awesome Oddball Art Stamps images.

Left of Center Creative Challenge Blog - #138 Animals

It's time for a new challenge over at the Left of Center Creative Challenge blog, so time to embrace our dark side and create something wickedly creep and offbeat.

Our sponsor this week is the awesome Delicious Doodles

Our theme this week is Animals or Left of Center.

Here's my project for this week's challenge;
I used the gorgeous 'Mischievous Meerkats' image on my card.  I coloured my image with Letraset Tria and Promarkers.

My background paper is a leftover piece of Basic Grey's Koshi paper collection, which i layered onto a white card blank.

I tore the edges of my image before layering it onto my card, this gives it a nice rustic feel.

I kept the embellishments very simple, using some wooden letter embellishments along with Tim Holtz Label Letter Stickers to create my sentiment.

I hope i've inspired you to play along with our challenge.  Don't forget to visit the Left of Center Creative Challenge Blog to get even more inspiration from our awesome Design Team.

More Mixed Media Challenge Blog - July Challenge - Anything Goes with the option of Pastels

It's time for a new challenge over at the More Mixed Media Challenge Blog, so I'd like to share with you my DT projects for July's Challenge.

Here's my project;
 I used the gorgeous Chloe image from Oddball Art Co on my canvas. She is coloured with Letraset Tria and Promarkers, before being fussy cut.

For my background I took a 6 x 4 inch canvas board and layered on paper doilies in various pastel shades, before adding a thin layer of white gesso.

I then added my image along with some Baker's Twine for the Balloon string.

I then stamped an Andy Skinner sentiment stamp using Aubergine Memento ink, and then Midnight Blue Stazon.  I edged the canvas with Aubergine Memento ink, before smugging it, then dipping into embossing powder.  I then heat set the powder.

I then outlined my image and sentiment using Faber-Castell PITT Pens in Purple, Teal, Cornflower Blue, Light Grey and White, smudging the ink as I went along.

I then did some doodling in Uni Posca White Paint Pen around my sentiment and on the background.  I added more Faber-Castell PITT Pen, before finishing the canvas with some Creative Expressions Metallic Gilding Wax in Decadent Teal.

I love how my finished canvas turned out; not quite as pale and pastel as I find imagined, but I love all the textures I've got on it, along with the gorgeous image.

That's all from me for now, Please remember to hop over to the More Mixed Media Challenge Blog to see the gorgeous creation from the rest of our wonderful Design Team, and to join in with our challenge.

Delicious Doodles Challenge - Beside the Sea

It is my pleasure today to share with you my first DT project for Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog.  I'm delighted to have joined the Delicious Doodles Design Team and have the opportunity to work with Teri Sherman's gorgeous images.

Our Challenge theme this month is Beside the Sea,

Here's my card;
 As soon as I saw the challenge theme I knew which image I wanted to use; Steampunk Mermaid is one of my favourites, so it was a pleasure to colour her up for this card.

I coloured my image with Letraset Tria and Promarkers before adding some Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.  I then used Pigma Brush Pens to add some orange and pink contrast to the image along with a white gel pen for highlights.  I also added some white gelato to the background to give the clouds a little texture.

To create my card I used a 6 x 6 inch card blank to which I added some orange glittered mesh/netting fabric before layering on my image.  I'd printed my image A6 and then cropped it to make the beautiful mermaid even more predominant.  I added a sentiment tag with a bronze glittered brad, before adding some bronze gems scattered around my card.

That's all from me for now, Thank you so much for visiting with me today, and please hop over to the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog to see the gorgeous creations from the rest of our very talented Design Team.
