Oddball Art Stamps Challenge Reminder - We are the Monsters!

Today it is my pleasure to share with another of my creations as part of the Oddball Art Stamps Design Team.  I can hardly believe it's the end of August already, this summer has gone so fast, I can't wait to see what wonderful Autumnal images will be appearing in the next few weeks!

I'd like to remind you about our challenge on the Oddball Art Stamps Blog today, Our theme is 'For You Blue' - make a card featuring the colour Blue.

Here's my creation;
For my card today I used the beautiful 'Fran Tick & Dave the Bat' image (#227) from the wonderful selection of images in the Oddball Art Stamps Etsy Store.

Fran and Dave are coloured with Letraset Tria and Promarkers along with some white gel pen for highlights.

I kept the rest of my card very simple, as I wanted to focus on the image and coordinating sentiment.  I layered my image and sentiment onto blue, lilac and yellow/lime paper to give them a nice frame.  I used circle punches in 3 different sizes to create circles from the 3 coloured papers, which i then arranged on my white card blank, before adding my image and sentiment.

As promised I'm here today with a right royal creation featuring another of the gorgeous new releases from Oddball Art Stamps.

Here's today's card;

Today's card features  'Queen for a Day' (#326),  I coloured my image with Letraset Tria & Promarkers,Sakura Metallic Gold Pen, and White Gel Pen for highlights.  I also used my Alcohol Markers to draw a heart behind the sentiment.

I took a white 8 x 8 inch card blank, and layered on black and white card before adding my patterned papers.  My patterned papers are leftovers from a previous project a long time ago, I knew I'd use them one day.  I also added some red card and cheesecloth.  I then added my image, and coordinating sentiment and playing cards.  To finish my card I added some red and black pearl embellishments along with some resin flowers.

We are ALL Mad Here!

As promised I'm here today with another new creation featuring one of the new releases from Oddball Art Stamps.

Here's today's card;
Today's card features 'Alice'(image#324) and the brick wall (image#266).  Alice comes with the perfect sentiment attached, but I didn't use it for this card, as I wasn't sure were to put it on the wall image, and didn't decide on my card layout until I'd printed and coloured my image.   I coloured my image with Letraset Tria & Promarkers, Marvy Le Plume Alcohol Pens, and White Gel Pen for highlights.  For my sentiment I used Alphabet stickers from Simple Stories.

I'll be back again tomorrow with a right royal creation for you!  Until then, Thanks for visiting with me, and don't forget to use my discount code in the Oddball Art Stamps Etsy store to get 10% off your purchase; DTSUZI10

I coloured my images with Letraset Tria & Promarkers, Marvy Le Plume Alcohol Pens, White Gel Pen, and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Pens.  I used PanPastels along with a cloud and playing card icon stencils.
I used patterned paper from the Purple Dovecraft Goodie Bag along with some red card, red heart washi tape and tape measure tissue tape.  I used Alphabet stickers from Tim Holtz and Simple Stories for my sentiment.

My second card was a simpler make;
I used the gorgeous 'White Rabbit'(#325) for this card, I coloured him with Letraset Tria & Promarkers, Marvey Le Plume Alcohol Pens and White Gel Pen.

I used a 5 x 7 inch white card blank to which I added a piece of green patterned paper from the DCWV Everday Essentials Stack.  I layered my image onto some blue card, added some striped ribbon and punched heart to my background, then added my image to the card.

For my sentiment I used Alphabet Stickers from Simple Stories, along with another punched heart.

For the rest of my card I used some patterned papers from my stash (freebies from a magazine) along with some blue and yellow satin ribbon, and yellow heart buttons.  My sentiment comes from the Tim Holtz 'Hashtag' set of stamps.

More Mixed Media Challenge Blog - August Challenge

 It's time for a new challenge over at the More Mixed Media Challenge Blog.  As always our theme is 'Anything Goes' with an optional colour addition, this month we would like to see Bright Colours on your project.

Grab your Sunglasses, Here's my project;
I had a real blast creating this very bright canvas.  I used a retired image from Sassy Studio Designs called 'Flash Dance', she's coloured with Letraset Tria and Promarkers.  Before I forget, make sure you buy any images you have on your wishlist at Sassy Studio Designs before the 31st August, as that is when the store is due to close.

For the background on my canvas I took some tissue paper with coloured foil circles on it and glued it to a 6 x 4 inch canvas board.  Then using some Tim Holtz stamps and Stazon ink I added some checks and stars to the board.

Next I took some Fluroscent Acrylic Paint in Green and Yellow and put a thin layer of that over my background.  I then added some Tim Holtz Tissue tape with muscial notes on it to be background along with my coloured image.

To seal my board and give a nice glossy finish I added a coat of Liquitex Gloss Super Heavy Gel, before leaving this to dry I sprinkled on various pink and yellow glitters along with some Stampendous Mica Flakes in Bright Pink and Lime.

At this point I have to admit my project looked like a very sticky sparkly mess, but once left over night to dry it came up beautifully.  Here's a close up;

As you can see it dried to a lovely finish, showing all the layers of beautiful bright funky colours and textures.

I hope i've inspired you to break out your brightest colours and have some messy fun creating something for our challenge.  If you want more inspiration hop over to the More Mixed Media Challenge Blog to see the gorgeous creations from the rest of our Design Team.

That's all from me for today, Enjoy the rest of your Friday, and Have a Wonderful Weekend,

I had great fun colouring this beautiful mermaid with a mix of Letraset Tria & Promarkers, and Marvy Le Plume Alcohol Pens.  The Marvy Alcohol Pens were a recent bargain from Ebay, I've not got many colours of them, but they have a lovely brush tip, so are great fun to work with.

I kept my card very simple, using some leftover Basic Grey Kioshi patterned papers, along with some pearl starfish embellishments and doodled frames.
Here's a close up of the beautiful Nixie;
